Dear Mr. Thompson:
Due to your failure to comply with policy conditions after a loss, which states: "If requested by the Company, submit to examination under oath and subscribe the same and produce all pertinent records for the Company's examination as often as may be reasonably required at such reasonable time and place as may be designated by the Company or its representative's and permit extracts and copies there of to be made". Allstate will cease payment for loss of rental value under your policy 216719784 on March 31, 1992.
We originally requested your EUO on 01-09-92 and you delayed the EUO until 01-20-92. On 01-20-92, only you appeared for an EUO and not you and your wife as requested.
We originally requested additional information from you on 01-20-92 and have not received it to date. You received another notice from the court reporter, in her letter of 02-04-92, giving you until 02-25-92 to sign and return the EUO along with requested information. These same requests were discussed with you by telephone on 02-07-92, 02-13-92 and again on 02-20-92.
We have no alternative but to terminate payment for the apartment at Wellington Manor and the storage facility at Pioneer Stor & Lok, as we cannot continue this expense while you refuse to cooperate with our investigation.

Once again, if you will notice, Allstate's denial is based upon my wife's refusal to take their EUO. She was not an insured and was not required to do so. Allstate admits that I granted their EUO, but state that I refused to give them other information. I gave them everything they asked for that was in my power to give them. The things that I couldn't give them, I explained why on all three occasions (dates) stated above. My EUO was signed and returned to them by above requested date, along with all other information that I could get. What I couldn't get, I signed releases for them to get.
